No prior art experience necessary and every opportunity will be offered to encourage you unleash your own creativity!
Here’s what a few folk have said:
’It’s given me a new life! A reason to get up and look forward to the day. I just love painting!’
Sandy
‘I love the friendship and comradery of these groups - its inspiring to be arty with others.”
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! for always being optimistic and inspiring and for instilling confidence in my abilities. Lynne
I learn so much spending time with you and seeing how everyone interprets a painting challenge. It’s the highlight of my week!

BATH SPA: SKETCHING THE CITY
this arty residential is now full … keep popping back to see what we’ve got planned for the next one!!!!
Join me in the beautiful UNESCO city of Bath Spa for 3 days of sketching & painting & artiness. Whilst we explore iconic buildings and quirky little spaces, I’m hoping we will capture the essence of this gorgeous Georgian city on paper.
Bath Spa is home to mellow Bath Stone, grand Georgian town-houses, Jane Austen, natural spa’s and famous Bridges! (We’re not mentioning the rugby!) Bath boasts the only Palladian Bridge in England (and theres only 4 in the world!) alongside the famous Pultney Bridge - which is very unusual because it has shops and houses built on both sides of it!
Bath also has UNESCO status for the Roman city that was built there in the 1st century.
This unique trip will include tutored tips and tricks to enhance your sketching skills; we’ll look at several different STYLES to express our findings and working mostly outdoors (en plain air) with pen and ink, we will collect a sketch book full of drawings to inspire - as a keep-sake of our visit to Bath AND to be creative with in a different medium, perhaps Lino or acrylic.
WORLD ART DAY
Celebrate World Art Day by creating your own world of art!
This fabulous workshop is set in the most gorgeous ‘secret garden’ and is a collaboration with the lovely Victoria at the The Greenhouse Spa in St Mellion.
What’s involved? We will meet at 10am and have light refreshments to
welcome you to the Secret Garden. After a few tips and tricks on how to use watercolours and ink to create beautiful loose flowers and folliage, we’ll head out into the garden and be inspired to draw and paint. (If it’s pouring, we’ll be inside!) Lunch will be Vegan and delicious!
The afternoon session involves the tactile creativity needed for clay, because we will make our own miniature vases, tiny flowers & maybe a little snail!
No experience is needed and everyone is welcome. It’s going to be the BEST way to celebrate world art day! Places are limited and they are selling out FAST!
